Hansa is a junior from Saddle River, NJ, studying Industrial and Labor Relations with minors in Applied Economics and Law & Society. She is passionate about labor and employment law, particularly at its intersection with professional sports, with interests in salary arbitration, collective bargaining, and the role of labor relations in professional sports.
On campus, Hansa is the Founder and President of the Cornell Undergraduate Sports & Entertainment Law Society, President of Key Elements A Cappella, and a Staff Writer for the Cornell Undergraduate Law & Society Review. She also serves as a Sports Law & Policy Analyst for the Cornell Sports Research Conference and as a Research Assistant at the ILR School’s Worker Institute.
During the 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) salary arbitration cycle, Hansa worked on club-side arbitration matters at Proskauer Rose. This past summer, she interned at MLB in the Baseball Economics group. During the upcoming spring semester, she will study as a visiting student at the University of Oxford.
In her free time, you might find her scouting out the best coffee in Collegetown, watching college football (Go Buckeyes!), or trying to maintain her NYT Games streak.
